Following the successful continuous embankment construction of Tailings Storage Facility 7 (TSF7) over the past 6 years, WBHO-I were awarded the contract to construct the new Tailing Storage Facility 8 (TSF8) at Newcrest’s Telfer Mine located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The works, currently being delivered in a fully operational mining environment, include the construction of a starter embankment, foundation preparation, cut-off trench excavation, perimeter embankment, spillway and decant causeway as well as the removal of remaining OSM material within the TSF8 impoundment footprint.
