Design, supply and installation of Corrugated Metal Arch Tunnel (57M length and 7M internal span):

  • Design, supply and installation temporary Driver Road bypass
  • Construction of reinforced concrete foundation including earthworks
  • Construction of approximately 360m of Ajana Haul road overpass
  • Installation of rock protection for the embankment
  • Supply and lay bitumen seal to the extent of road within tunnel and
  • Supply and installation of road furniture.

The project was delivered in a tight timeframe to allow ore developed at Larego to be hauled back to Orion Crusher Site in the event the crusher could not be relocated from existing location (Orion) to new location (Larego) in Q1 2021. One of the constraints associated with this project was the bypass required continuous availability of Driver Road during the course of construction as this road is not able to be closed at any time.
